Dementia is a progressive neurological disorder that significantly affects memory, cognitive abilities, and daily functioning, making individuals increasingly dependent on caregivers. Existing dementia care solutions are often limited by lack of personalization, minimal interactivity, and reliance on manual monitoring. To address these challenges, this research proposes an AI-based Dementia Assistant, developed as a cross-platform mobile application using the Flutter framework, enabling deployment on both Android and iOS platforms.The system utilizes speech recognition and natural language processing to facilitate intuitive interaction, helping users perform daily activities independently. It also incorporates a voice-based emergency detection mechanism that identifies critical keywords and alerts caregivers in real time. Additionally, behavioral analysis of user interactions enables the system to adapt responses based on individual cognitive patterns.Experimental results demonstrate reliable performance in speech processing, reminders, and emergency alert generation. Overall, the proposed system offers a scalable, cost-effective, and user-friendly solution that enhances safety, independence, and quality of life for individuals with dementia.
