Abstract

With the fast changing Information Technology (IT) industry, organizations are relying more on analytics to streamline Human Resource Management (HRM) practices. This paper explores how HR Analytics can be used to enhance HRM practices including recruitment, training, performance management, and employee retention. The research design adopted was quantitative and 370 employees who work in the IT organizations were sampled using a structured questionnaire. Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) has discovered that there are four significant dimensions of HR Analytics: Data Utilization, Analytical Skills, Technology Infrastructure, and Strategic HR Integration. The measurement model was confirmed by Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) demonstrated that HR Analytics makes a significant contribution to the enhancement of HRM practices in the IT sector. The results indicate that HR practices powered by analytics help to improve decision-making, efficiency, and performance among employees. This paper finds that HR Analytics is a strategic requirement of IT organizations in order to be competitive.
